Osnaburg is a coarsely woven vintage style fabric that is named for the German city in which it was first produced. Historically, Osnaburg was a cheap coarse textile woven from flax that was used for feed sacks and as a utility cloth. In the last century, Osnaburg has been woven primarily with cotton and is used widely today for crafts and quilting projects as well as clothing liners.
