Osnaburg
Osnaburg is a durable, coarse, plain-weave fabric, traditionally made from flax but now commonly 100% cotton, known for its natural, unbleached look and homespun texture, similar to linen but more affordable, making it popular for historical reenactment clothing, rustic home decor, quilting, and durable crafts like bag making.
***While Osnaburg will fray very nicely for ragged style projects, it usually shrinks more than homespun. We do not recommend combining homespun and Osnaburg in the same project unless both fabrics are preshrunk.
